Rozanna Niazi

  • LLM (Hons).
  • Dip. Counselling & Psychotherap.
  • MBACP.

I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor. I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Masters Degree in mental health law. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have additional specialist training in alcohol and addictions working with people who are separated or divorced and in short term therapy.

My previous experience includes many years as a lawyer specialising in clients experiencing relationship or family breakdown and psychological issues. In 2000 I retired from my legal practice and 'down shifted' to live a less stressful healthier and more meaningful life.

I appreciate each person as an individual and respond according to your particular circumstances. I believe that many of our problems arise out of our human nature so my focus in counselling or therapy is not about problem-solving instead it's to help you to come to terms with living life as it is with all its difficulties conflicts and contradictions.

I have clients who are straight gay bisexual transsexual old young and of many ethnicities and cultures those who are religious atheist or agnostic. What I find clients value the most is feeling comfortable with and trusting the therapist. Our work together can be short term (from one to eight sessions) or longer to suit your needs.

I'll help you to look at the issues you bring to counselling from other perspectives develop your inner strengths and support you to identify and remove any obstacles which may block your path. I'll encourage you to take responsibility for your life so any change is in your own hands. It's your life and it's up to you to make the necessary changes that will lead to a greater well-being.

I have a keen interest in nutrition and the impact of diet and exercise upon our psychological health.
