I am a qualified counsellor working with an integrative approach. I offer both long and short term counselling for individuals in crisis or those exploring personal development issues or difficult decisions. I aim to work alongside my clients in a safe and confidential relationship to explore the areas causing personal unhappiness. People often seek therapy because their potential for happiness success satisfaction or peace is not being fulfilled and they feel lost and perhaps desperate. My approach may involve looking at patterns and relationships in the past or present and exploring associated thoughts feelings and behaviour. This may help to identify possible choices and changes and hopefully enable a more satisfying and self aware future fulfilling your potential and enhancing your quality of life. My background is in nursing and health visiting which has given me a broad and diverse experience of working with all types of people. I have a particular interest and skills in working with issues affecting the emotional well-being of women young people and families including issues such as:

  • parenting
  • stress
  • depression
  • domestic abuse
  • childhood abuse
  • relationship problems or transitions
  • bereavement
  • loss
  • disability

I have experience of counselling in a primary health care setting in the NHS and as an associate counsellor with Sheffield Womens Counselling and Therapy Service. I am currently working in private practice based at Share Psychotherapy and Cornerstones Counselling and Therapy Centre. I also work for Sheffield Primary Health Care Trust.

My fee is £38 per hour and low cost fees are available according to income.
