Chartered Counselling Psychologist.

Since 1991 I have been involved in the field of therapy and I still find fascination hope and fulfilment in the work that I do. My interests are wide and I have worked in a diversity of settings such as:

• Relate - adult couple relationships individuals alone or with a partner.
• Police Welfare Officer - therapist to police personnel. This involved working with organisational issues and post trauma work as well as working with a wide range of general issues (generic therapy).
• Primary Care (GP surgery) - generic therapy.
• Health Psychology - I worked with a wide range of health issues such as cancer chronic fatigue syndrome/ME fibromyalgia traumatic burns needle phobias anxiety about health issues managing and coping with long-term conditions such as chronic pain diabetes etc. I enjoyed this work as I have always had an interest in health and used to be a Registered General Nurse. I furthermore have a strong curiosity in the role of stress in illness and wellbeing.
• Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University where I have taught counselling skills.

I offer psychotherapy for:

• Anxiety fear and panic attacks
• Bereavement and loss
• Depression
• Health related issues
• Low self-esteem and lack of confidence
• Post traumatic stress & difficult memories from the past
• Relationship and couple therapy (Relate trained)
• Self-awareness self improvement and assertiveness skills
• Stress related problems

I now work solely in private practice and charge £50 per hour to private individuals (some concessions may be available).
